Notes

Home-use diode laser. Significantly lower power than clinical devices (approximately 20 joules vs 100+ joules for clinical lasers). FDA-cleared for home use. Results require substantially more sessions than clinical treatment. It IS a real laser, but with consumer-grade power levels.

Overview

One of the few true home-use laser devices. Uses an actual 810nm diode laser, not IPL like most home devices.

How It Works

Same 810nm diode technology as professional systems but at ~20 J/cm² versus 100+ J/cm² in clinical devices. Built-in skin sensor prevents use on skin darker than Fitzpatrick IV. Small treatment window requires more time per session.

Typical Uses

  • Maintenance between professional treatments
  • Small areas: upper lip, chin, underarms
  • Impractical for large areas due to small spot size

Key Features

It IS a real laser, which distinguishes it from the vast majority of home devices (which are IPL). But consumer-grade power means significantly more sessions and slower results than clinical treatment.
