Overview
Candela's current single-wavelength Nd:YAG platform, the counterpart to the GentleLase Pro-U. Where the GentleLase Pro-U specializes in lighter skin with 755nm Alexandrite, the GentleYAG Pro-U specializes in darker and tanned skin with 1064nm Nd:YAG. Both are upgradeable to the dual-wavelength GentleMax Pro.
How It Works
1064nm Nd:YAG wavelength penetrates deeper and bypasses epidermal melanin, making it safe for darker skin types where shorter wavelengths risk burns. DCD cryogen cooling protects the epidermis before each pulse. Variable pulse durations (0.25–100ms) and spot sizes up to 24mm allow practitioners to customize for hair removal, vascular work, or skin rejuvenation.
