Notes
Sciton's newest hair removal platform, launched June 2025. Co-engineered with Asclepion (makers of the MeDioStar). 5000W power. Standalone device (not a JOULE module). Multiple wavelength handpieces: 760nm, 810/940nm blend, 940nm vascular, and 1060nm. Dual-port connectivity allows two handpieces connected simultaneously. Four spot sizes available. Standard 110V outlet.
Overview
Sciton's newest and most advanced dedicated hair removal platform, launched in June 2025. Co-engineered in partnership with Asclepion (the German company behind the MeDioStar diode laser series). This is a standalone device, separate from Sciton's JOULE platform, and represents Sciton's most serious entry into dedicated laser hair removal.
How It Works
Multiple wavelength handpieces cover the full range: 760nm for lighter skin types, an 810/940nm blend for general use and darker skin, standalone 940nm for vascular work, and 1060nm for the deepest penetration on dark and tanned skin. Up to 5000W of power (handpiece dependent) with four spot sizes including what Sciton claims is the industry's largest. Flat-top beam profile ensures uniform energy with no hot spots. Rectangular spot design reduces overlap. Dual-port connectivity keeps two handpieces connected simultaneously for seamless switching between treatment areas. Integrated sapphire contact cooling plus optional Spritz aloe-based spray as a gel-free alternative.
Typical Uses
- All skin types year-round including darker and tanned skin
- High-volume clinics. Large spot sizes treat full backs in minutes
- Practices wanting a premium standalone hair removal device outside the JOULE ecosystem
Key Features
Co-engineered with Asclepion brings German diode laser expertise to Sciton's platform. 5000W is among the highest power outputs available. Important context: Sciton also sells Forever Bare BBL (which is IPL, not laser). If a clinic says they use 'Sciton for hair removal', consumers should ask whether it's OMNI/Bare HR (real laser) or Forever Bare BBL (IPL). Optional single-use hygiene caps address the contact sanitation concern that some consumers have with shared handpieces.
