Notes
Most advanced Viora platform combining IPL, Nd:YAG laser, RF, and fractional RF. Hair removal available via TWO handpieces: the V-IPL (IPL, same as V20) and the V-Nd:YAG (1064nm real laser, primarily for darker skin and vascular lesions). Ask your clinic which handpiece they use for hair removal: V-IPL is IPL, V-Nd:YAG is a real laser. FDA-cleared (K111303, 2011). Now sold under Sinclair Global brand.
Overview
Viora's flagship multi-technology platform combining IPL, Nd:YAG laser, RF, and fractional RF. For hair removal, it offers two options: the V-IPL handpiece (IPL, same as V20) and the V-Nd:YAG handpiece (1064nm long-pulse Nd:YAG laser). The V-Nd:YAG is a real laser and is primarily indicated for darker skin hair removal and vascular lesions.
How It Works
The V-IPL handpiece delivers broadband light through interchangeable filters with PCR pulse control. The V-Nd:YAG handpiece delivers 1064nm laser energy with four interchangeable spot sizes and PCR pulse configurations. Both handpieces include contact cooling.
Typical Uses
- Full-service aesthetic clinics wanting IPL + laser + RF in one platform
- Clinics treating diverse skin types (V-Nd:YAG adds Fitzpatrick V-VI capability)
- Practices offering vascular treatment alongside hair removal
Key Features
The V30 is the only V-Series platform that includes a real laser (V-Nd:YAG at 1064nm). If your clinic uses a V30, ask specifically whether they use the V-IPL or V-Nd:YAG handpiece for hair removal: the difference is IPL vs real laser. The V-Nd:YAG's 1064nm wavelength is particularly suited for darker skin types. Also includes V-ST (RF skin tightening), V-FR (fractional RF), V-FORM (body contouring), and V-VR (vaginal rejuvenation) handpieces.
