Notes

Sciton's dedicated hair removal platform launched in 2021. 4800W power. Two handpieces: standard 810nm and a Blend handpiece delivering 810+940+1060nm simultaneously. Won New Beauty 2022 Best of Beauty Innovation award.

Overview

Sciton's first dedicated high-speed laser hair removal platform, launched in 2021. Built by the same company known for BBL and HALO, but unlike those IPL/hybrid devices, Bare HR is a true diode laser system with 4800 watts of power.

How It Works

Two handpiece options: a standard 810nm diode for general use, and a proprietary Blend handpiece that simultaneously delivers 810nm, 940nm, and 1060nm wavelengths. The Blend mode targets hair at multiple depths while reducing impact on epidermal melanin, making it safe for darker and tanned skin year-round. Sapphire crystal contact cooling at 5°C protects skin throughout treatment. Two treatment modes: Speed and Comfort.

Typical Uses

  • All skin types including darker and tanned skin (Blend mode)
  • High-volume clinics. Extra-large spot sizes (30x17mm) treat large areas in minutes
  • Practices already in the Sciton ecosystem (JOULE platform owners)

Key Features

4800W is among the highest power outputs of any diode system. Extra-large spot sizes (30x17mm and 30x9mm) are the largest on the market. Claimed 3x faster than competitor devices. Important note: Sciton also makes Forever Bare BBL, which is IPL. Bare HR is their true laser alternative.
