Notes

SharpLight's top-of-line platform adding Er:YAG fractional laser, LP-Nd:YAG, and Q-Switched Nd:YAG to the S3's DPC + RF + VermaDerm. IMPORTANT: The laser components (Er:YAG, Nd:YAG) are for skin resurfacing, tattoo removal, and vascular lesions, NOT for hair removal. Hair removal still uses DPC (IPL) handpieces, identical to the S3. Over 15 compatible handpieces, 60+ clinical indications. Israeli manufacturer, FDA-cleared. ROI claimed within 6 months.

Overview

SharpLight's most comprehensive multi-technology platform, housing four technology categories: DPC (enhanced IPL), RF, VermaDerm IR, and Laser (Er:YAG + Nd:YAG). It can perform 60+ clinical indications across 15+ handpieces. However, for hair removal specifically, it still uses the same DPC (IPL) handpieces as the S3. The added laser technologies address skin resurfacing, tattoo removal, and vascular lesions, not hair removal.

How It Works

Hair removal works identically to the S3: via DPC handpieces delivering broadband IPL light with three pulse configurations. The Er:YAG fractional laser (2940nm) is for skin resurfacing. The LP-Nd:YAG and Q-Switched Nd:YAG (1064nm/532nm) are for vascular lesions, pigmented lesions, and tattoo removal. These laser handpieces are not used for hair removal.

Typical Uses

  • Full-service medical aesthetics clinics wanting maximum treatment versatility
  • Practices combining hair removal with tattoo removal, skin resurfacing, and body contouring
  • Clinics seeking fastest ROI through breadth of services

Key Features

Despite containing actual laser handpieces, hair removal on the S4 is still done with DPC (IPL), the same technology as the S3. The addition of LP laser gives 'hair removal treatment options along with improved energy penetration for all skin types' per SharpLight, but the primary hair removal remains DPC. Consumers should ask specifically which handpiece is used for their hair removal treatment. Compatible with 15+ handpieces for maximum versatility. SharpLight calls this their 'top of the line for medical aesthetic equipment.'
