Notes

Multi-application platform using elos technology (810nm diode laser + bipolar RF). Hair removal via DSL handpiece is one of several applications including wrinkle treatment, vascular lesions, and fractional skin rejuvenation. Successor to the eMax.

Overview

Syneron's updated multi-application platform, successor to the eMax. Uses elos technology combining 810nm diode laser with bipolar radiofrequency. Hair removal is performed with the DSL (Diode Laser) handpiece, but the platform also handles wrinkles, vascular lesions, and skin rejuvenation with other handpieces.

How It Works

Same elos principle as the eLase: diode laser pre-heats the target, then bipolar RF delivers additional energy independent of skin color. The DSL handpiece is the dedicated hair removal attachment operating at up to 3 Hz pulse rate. Multiple handpiece options (DSL, WRA, LV, LVA) plug in for different treatments.

Typical Uses

  • Multi-service practices wanting hair removal plus skin rejuvenation from one platform
  • All skin types including darker tones via the RF component
  • Clinics upgrading from the older eMax system

Key Features

Versatile multi-application platform, not purpose-built for hair removal alone. The DSL handpiece provides real diode laser hair removal with RF enhancement. If your clinic uses an elos Plus for hair removal, confirm they are using the DSL handpiece (diode laser), not the IPL-based applicators that are also available on this platform.
